King Henry VIII School is a registered training centre with the Royal Lifesaving Society (RLSS) and can offer a number of courses.
National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
The industry standard lifeguarding award. Candidates must be aged 16 or over.
National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches (NRASTC)
A qualification for anyone organising and supervising lessons and activities in swimming pools.
Bronze Medallion
For swimmers aged 13 and over. The Bronze Medallion covers water safety, rescue skills and emergency first aid.
